The Golf School at Club de Golf del Uruguay holds a solid experience and extended prestige. Currently, more that 270 children attend it, with ages ranging from 5 to 18. The School is headed by Pros Germán Palacios and Jimena Marchán who work together with the following golf staff: Diego Alvarez, Daniel Brion, Cecilia Peñalva and Fitness Coach Ricardo Varela. The aim of the School is to form new golfers and also teach them Sports Ethic and good game behaviour in order to develop, not only good sportsmen, but also good people. It should be emphasized that what we want to undoubtedly achieve, for our Club and our country, is reach a number of internationally competitive golfers. To achieve these outcomes, the School is divided into groups according to age and golf level. The outline of work carried out is the same for all groups (Full Swing, Short Game, Putter and Physical Activity, consisting of a previous warm-up and stretching after class). The exercises in each area vary according to the level of the group. Regarding the physical activity, the High Performance groups carry out a differentiated workout in the Weights room and occasionally, they work on the field in the driving range area.
